How Mr. Nice Guy Lost His Manners

Ace Anderson posing for the concert campaign Exhibit A

"Creation of an Asshole" is a true story.

Across one night of hip-hop, R&B, and spoken word, Ace traces how Mr. Nice Guy earned the title, one crush, one heartbreak, one gloriously bad decision at a time.

The concert runs in two acts. Act One is the hopeless romantic. Act Two is what happened to him, in full form and unapologetic. Twenty original songs, played live with a full band, close enough that you will hear every word and see every look.

This is a Poetic Dinner Party, Ace's own format: a live band, a DJ, poetry sharp enough to draw blood, and vegan Caribbean comfort food. Two opening performers set the mood.

It happens outdoors at a waterfront estate in Miami, under the sky, beside a lit pool, with the bay behind the band and the skyline behind the bay. One hundred seats, one night, and every one of them close.

Call and response

There is a moment. A glass goes up. The whole room says it back.

It happens once a night, and only for the people standing there.

Ace of All Trades

Ace Anderson is known as "Ace of All Trades: The Modern Renaissance Man" for reasons that are finally becoming difficult to explain in one sentence. He has appeared on Law & Order, SWAT, and Godfather of Harlem.

Before the stage took over, he was the lead graphic designer at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, then founded the creative marketing company The Striped Heart. He earned his BFA in Acting from SMU Meadows.

This is the show where the actor, rapper, poet, designer, and director stop taking turns and collide on purpose.

Who Opens The Night

Two openers open the waterfront at 7:45, before Ace picks up the mic.

Opener

Mouse

South Florida rapper & cannabis storyteller

Based in South Florida, Mouse brings cannabis culture into hip-hop with witty bars, bounce, and melodies built to stick.

Between reviewing strains and recording international features, he moves through both worlds as himself: playful, plugged in, and unmistakably Mouse.

MSYJ

Pronounced “Message”

Jamaican born and South Florida raised, MSYJ folds hip-hop, reggae, R&B, and Afrobeat into one sound that moves between all four without asking permission.

He started in high school with Blacktop Entertainment, expanded in Los Angeles with the band Soul7, and spent a stretch in professional kitchens under chef Eric Greenspan. Back in Florida since 2018, he sharpened his production at Fast Life Records, broke through with "See the Light" featuring RJ in 2020, and released "Exposed" featuring Ace.

He is also a member of Ace's band, God's Righthand, so once his set ends he stays with the band for the rest of the night.
